Tune-Up checklists

Gas Furnace:

1. Change 1” pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
2. Test fire & cycle the furnace
3. Pull and clean burners & pilot
4. Inspect & clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
5. Inspect flue
6. Check for carbon monoxide leaks
7. Check and adjust gas pressure
8. Lubricate parts as needed
9. Test safety shutoff system

Electric Furnace:

1. Change 1” pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
2. Inspect & clean all controls and wiring
3. Check supply voltage & amperage draws
4. Inspect and clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
5. Lubricate parts as needed
6. Test safety shutoff system

Heat Pump or Air Conditioner:

1. Change 1” pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
2. Cycle system in heat & cool modes
3. Check heat strips on indoor unit (emergency backup heating)
4. Inspect all wiring & electrical components
5. Check amperage draw
6. Inspect & clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
7. Inspect and clean indoor & outdoor coils
8. Flush condensate pump
9. Check refrigerant charge
10. Check temperatures
11. Lubricate parts as needed
12. Wash outdoor unit
